About CHEC√ / Mission Statement

Our mission is to:

  • Recommend the use of high technology medical care only when it is clinically appropriate and with fully informed consent of the patient.

  • Promote relief of pain and other suffering.

  • Be attentive to the needs of the person who has the disease, including respecting cultural differences.

  • Train medical personnel in ethical principles, sensitivity and communication skills.

  • To conduct bioethics forums, especially on new developments in medical care, end-of-life care and advance health care directives for the public and for medical professionals.
